Santana is producing 83% color out of all solid mares!

Santana has been sold! Congratulations to the McNutt's from Tennessee. Santana will be the new herd sire for their painted pony broodmare band.

Santana is a 10 year old black/white tobiano stallion that we bred and raised. His sire was a dark bay registered Quarter Horse who was an own son of the great QH Poco Bueno. Santana's dam was a liver/white tobiano the could jump a house and had the bones to let her! Santana's paint foals can be registered with the Pinto Horse Association of America, the National Pinto Horse Registry and in some cases the International Sport Horses of Color Registry.

Genetically Santana carries both a tobiano gene and an overo gene (probably frame). This explains his higher than average color production and means he can produce both tobianos and overos. Even his solid babies have all been marked with his trademark perfect blaze and high socks.

Santana stands 14.0 hands and is built like a hunter. He is streamlined with excellent bone structure. He has strong, flat cannons with excellent feet. He's never worn a shoe in his life! He is an airy, clean mover with great extension and presence. Santana has one of the best dispositions you've ever been around. Quiet, calm and not bothered by much of anything. He is a very low-key stallion - we don't even have to use a chain on him while breeding.

Santana has produced several nice sport/hunter type foals. Their owners all rave about their dispositions and manners. Color, Class and Conformation - what else could you ask for?
