Sadly Skip crossed the Rainbow Bridge the spring of 2005. We are deeply saddened by the passing of this great horse and are eagerly awaiting his final foal crop in 2006. I was only blessed to own him for a short time but he was certainly one of my favorite horses ever. I'm glad I was able to give this grand old man a dignified crossing when the time was right. Rest In Peace my friend.

If a great disposition and a proven production record is important in your breeding program then "Skip" is a stallion you should seriously consider. He holds a ROM in open Western Pleasure, has several open Halter points and was a Snaffle Bit futurity winner as a youngster.

Skip has sired APHA Register of Merit earners and point earners in many different events (listed below).  Several of his point earning foals have been campaigned by youth riders, proving that he passes his exceptional disposition on to his foals. He tends to sire an "All Around" type of horse that can Halter as a weanling, Pleasure as a 2 year old and go on to do Reining and Trail. However, Skip's greatest selling point is his disposition. He's very laid back and a joy to handle. He has lots of personality and is one of the most "likeable" horses I've ever worked with.

Skip stands an honest 15.2H and is a *Splash white overo. He has tested negative for the OLW gene which means he CAN NOT sire a lethal white foal. He’s a bright cherry red sorrel with a great big ole’ jaw, dainty ears and muscular hip. His beautiful head is one of his best features.

Skip carries no Impressive blood, making him a great outcross on Impressive mares. His sire, Sir Sonny Go (a superior WP horse himself), is considered one of the most important sires of the modern day paint horse. Skip is a half brother to the immortal paint sire, Calico Sonny.  Skip's bottom side traces back to some of the greats from the Wisecamp breeding program. You can see his full pedigree here.

Skip has been mainly bred to QH mares and has an average of 70% color production. His 2006 foals will be eligible for the Carolina Classic Breeders Futurity.

Skip's offspring have earned points in all of the classes below:

bulletHalter
bulletHorsemanship
bulletWestern Pleasure
bulletTrail
bulletHunter Under Saddle
bulletBarrel Racing
bulletReining

This is SB Intensified, one of Skip's grandchildren. Wonder where that color comes from?!
